Jordyn's 2nd Birthday

I'm a little late on my posts these days. Life is nothing short of chaotic around here but it sure does make it fun!:))) Here are some pictures from Jordyn's birthday. It was a fairly simple day! Since it was a weekend we slept in till 7 (That is major sleeping in in this house);) I made Jordyn a special breakfast and the rest of the day was pretty laid back. A trip for some ice cream, a fun afternoon at the park just the 6 of us and then a birthday cake celebration at home!:) Here are some pictures of Jordyn's birthday!:)
Still a tad bit sleepy opening your presents:)
A trip to the park just to have some fun:)
Oh jeez, I probably shouldn't put pictures of this poor, defenseless, sad little cake mommy made. BUT I love the fact that although I made you a very poorly decorated cake (as I said in a post to Reagan, I can bake BUT I can not decorate) you still loved it and I could tell it made you happy!:) That is all that matters, and that's why I do what I do!

My Jordy Pordy, I loved having a whole day all about YOU! A day to soak in your love, cuddles and kisses! A day to just be a family and have nothing else to do and not a care in the world! I love celebrating the joy you bring to my life every single day, but making it special on your birthday, made me happy!

Reagan Marie...How has it been 3 years?

OK.....I'm about a week late on this post and it is well overdue!:)) Sometimes if I have a post that isn't about my children, I don't mind getting on here and throwing it together....BUT...If it's a post that I want my child to look back on years from now, and feel the love I felt as I wrote it, I wait t ll I have the time to pour my thoughts out.
September 13th 2008
My life became fuller, my heart bigger and my life busier! I became the mom of a second little girl! I remember the day you were born like it was yesterday. I went in the hospital in the morning around 8, and at 3:42pm I was holding a beautiful, calm, sweet little baby in my arms. My pregnancy, labor, delivery were a breeze with you. 2 quick, easy pushes and you made your debut. You had the most quiet, calm cry I had ever heard. From that day forward, you showed us that calm, easy going nature you have. You have always been such an easy child! I used to worry that it would make you slip through the cracks because you were always so good that sometimes it seemed we focused more on your siblings behavior. I remember just after you turned 3 months old, I discovered I was pregnant with Jordyn and my world got a little bit scarier! During those first few weeks of pregnancy, it's like you sensed mommy was scared because you would just lay in my arms and smile, coo and laugh. So content, so sweet, such a love bug!
Lately though, that little love bug is making herself known! I think you got tired of being the innocent one! You have come out of your shell so much and make us laugh and smile with your wittiness and silliness each and every day!! You have such a way about you though, you can make anything better.
You seriously are the sweetest little thing EVER!:) Every single day, at LEAST 30 times a day, you walk up to me and say "mom, you're pretty....and mom, I love you" It makes me smile and laugh every time! In your 3 short years Reagan Marie, you have given me so much joy, laughter, happiness and fulfillment. I always look at you and your sisters and brother and think, if I lost everything I owned and was left with only my family and the Lord above, I have more than most could ever dream of having! You make my life full. You gave me hope when times were tough, you gave me smiles when I wanted to cry, and you gave me serenity amidst chaos. I love you so very very much sweet girl. Just look at all the memories I have of you angel!

Now here are a few pictures from your birthday last week. BEFORE we get to a picture of you with your ummm, well silly looking cake. Let me explain. I was running late to pick up sissy as it took longer to bake then planned. I took it out too soon because we had to leave, so it shaped funny. Then the following day, I had to frost it in 5 minutes before I ran out to help in P's classroom. SO, if you want to be mad about your cake, blame Peyton!;)) No really though, Jordy's was just as sad I promise.;) Mommy can bake with the best of them...BUT, making them pretty? Not so much!

Sweet, tiny, angelic little Reagan, at 3 years old you...
just started preschool at Joyful Noise and you LOVE it!! Tomorrow you get to take snack, a book for your class and mommy made goody bags for your friends so you can celebrate your birthday. You are so excited!
Your sister Peyton is your very best friend and you do everything she does!
You absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE ballet and ask me each day if it's Saturday for class yet.
You talk with the cutest little voice and still can't say your f's very well so mommy makes you say Frisbee just so you and I can laugh together because you say it with an c and it makes us giggle.:)
You love to sing the days of the week song.
You always remember to ask us to pray before a meal if you think we have forgotten.
"God our Father" is your favorite prayer.
You are such a small little girl with such a BIG attitude!:) You really think you are 10 feet tall and own the world!
You adore your little brother and your eyes shine when you talk to him or sing to him. You love to just sit with him on the floor or read books with him.
You are mommy's sidekick! If I am doing my hair, you are sitting in the bathroom watching. If I am cooking breakfast, you are in the kitchen. If I am folding laundry, you are trying to help. Where ever I am, you are there too.:) My little shadow!

Reagan, I know I say this about each of my kids, but you give me that reassurance that God has a bigger plan than mine and knows me better than I know myself. He gave me a patient, sweet, easy going, calm baby girl right in the middle of a chaotic time. You kept me sane and made the transition from one to two kids easy and then again from 2 to 3 and finally from 3 to 4 kids. You were always the one I knew would take it easy on mama!! I love you so much and my life would be so much less bright without you. You are one of the greatest gifts the Lord has blessed me with and I thank my lucky stars He chose you for me and me for you!
I love you "My Mini Best Friend"
Love Mommy

My Sweet, Sassy Jordyn is 2

Oh Jordyn Sophia....I know I say this A LOT lately, but really, where did the time go? I can't believe you are TWO YEARS OLD TODAY!! Let me tell you a little story real quick....
It was Christmas Eve 2008 and life was hectic to say the least. Peyton was 2 1/2, Reagan was a fussy 3 month old, I had no job because the family business slowed down, daddy was worried about his job and I was STRESSED!!! In the few days prior to Christmas Eve, I had also been telling daddy that I really thought I was pregnant. He just laughed at me because well, I used to take a million test being paranoid. So, I was super cranky that day, took a test and then almost fainted!! Two lines quickly appeared....I had taken enough test in my time to know that when the two lines appear within seconds, it's the real deal! I walked out to Jasper in shock, scared and shaky. After all, we had a three month old baby. From the time daddy and I got married and decided to have a family, we just kind of went with it. Left it in God's hands to decide what He saw fit for us. So in all reality I shouldn't have been shocked. We had wanted to wait till we were back to being more financially stable, in a bigger home, Reagan closer to a year old and so on. With in minutes though my shock turned to happiness and hopefulness! I reminded myself that if God led me to it, He will bring me through it. That fact has been a staple of my life since conceiving you. We were in a stressful time and I wasn't sure how we could provide for three children, how I could love another baby when I had two, would I be able to handle three kids? So many questions and fears! That night, we went to Christmas Eve service at church. This was the first time that mommy and daddy had ever gone to church together and it was the first time your sisters had gone. It changed our lives forever. I sat there and listened to them speak about Mary and how she was CHOSEN to carry Jesus, to give birth to him, to raise him for His father's glory. In that moment I realized how blessed I was to be carrying you. You may have surprised us with your timing, but you didn't surprise our Heavenly Father!! He had picked daddy and I to bring you up! He picked mommy to carry you in her belly, to nurture you, sing to you, to  feed you, to grow you, to birth you and bring you up for His glory! That night in church I turned all of my faith to the Lord and I prayed to Him that night to make me strong enough. Strong enough to carry another beautiful baby, patient enough to raise 3 kids 3 and under. Anyways, my short story is getting long so lets fast forward. September 3rd 2009, you were born! A couple of quick pushes after a 9 hour labor and you were out! Loud as could be and ready to take on the world! Those first few weeks are still fresh in my mind because they were blissful but hard! Daddy had been layed off from his job due to the economy so now we both were out of work, stressed out but trying to keep the wheel turning and bring you girls up in a happy, calm, God loving home! Daddy then was hired for a short term job and worked nights. You were a very fussy, colicky baby and would scream from 8pm to midnight. This went on for 7 weeks or so. I look back now and laugh because it's so you that you picked that time of day to be fussy. You wanted ME. ALL of me. You are still that way. You love with every ounce of your being and you always have. I remember nights when I would cry in the beginning. Scared that I wouldn't be able to do it all, be everything, make everyone happy. People would stop me and say "Are you crazy to have 3 kids those ages?" "Don't you know how to stop that?" Then there were people that said "Wow, you have it so together!" HA, little did they know! However, Jordyn Sophia, in that time, you held me together ! You and the Lord! Every time you would look at me and smile or coo, or laugh or cry, I reminded myself that God chose me! God gave me you!
Here we are two fast, sweet and amazing years later!! God has blessed us. Blessed us huge! I know it's because we never lost faith! We kept trying to raise you three with the love of the Lord! Then at 17 months old, you became a big sister! It has been so fun to watch!! You adore your baby brother!! You make us all so happy! I will get onto some fun facts about you now but first, here are a few sweet pictures of you my sweet, feisty, mischievous Jordy!

Sweet, sweet Jordyn at two years old you...
Are talking like CRAZY!! A lot of it is in your own language, but man you go on and on!
You know a lot of your colors already- pink and purple are your favorites!
You are a BULLY! You rule the roost around here and mommy has had to get on you a few times for bullying the bigger kids/daycare kids BUT you are finally getting over that!
You are as I said a bully however, lately you have become very, very sweet and loving! You want to give everyone hugs and kisses all the time.
We are certain that you don't feel pain. Seriously, if you get hurt you laugh and do it again.
You are a MAJOR mama's girl! You choose mommy over everyone else! I love it!:)
You love to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and the Days of The Week song!
You have a major sweet tooth and BEG for suckers!
You are determined when you want something, you will whine till you drive us crazy!;)
You are very, very sneaky and mischievous! You love to jump off furniture when we are not looking, get into mommy's purse, steal your sisters toys. It's kind of cute....KIND OF!
You do this cute thing when you know you are in trouble- You cover your face and get this silly grin, like if you can't see us then we can't see you! It's so cute I sometimes forget you were in trouble.
You love love love to play with your big sissy's and they love you so much!
You love your brother and try to help all of the time. Sometimes a little too much and I have to remind you that some things are a mommy job. If you see a bottle on the counter and I'm not looking, you take it and try to feed him. When I go to get him up in the morning, you always go in with me  and in this cute little voice say "Hiiiiii, Hiiiiii, Hiiiiii mitter man" then you tickle him and make him smile!
You love when we blow on your belly or let you blow on ours!
You would live at the park if I let you!
You are a picky eater but you love cereal and pancakes.
You have a new love for all things Elmo and if you see Elmo on something, you will scream about it!
You are our first kid not potty trained by two...you are going to be stubborn!:)
You love all things dirty! You are ALWAYS A MESS!! I remind myself that it's ok if you are filthy, it just means you are having a good time!
Jordyn Sophia, I could go on for hours talking about you! You make me smile, make me laugh, make me proud, make me happy, stress me out and so many things in between. I wish I had more hours in the day to just sit and hold you, cuddle with you, kiss you and hug you. I just want to slow time down. I hope you know each and everyday how much you are loved, that you complete our family and that your are the best surprise gift I have EVER or could ever be given! I am so, so glad that God knew I needed you and you needed me. I am so thankful I am your mama!! I love you to the moon and back
"My Tiny Best Friend!!!"
Love, mommy
