L-O-V-E

LOVE this song....Lets just face it, sometimes we all have days where this song just says it all!

It's the little things...

Little things make children so happy! Today all of the kids, daycare kids and my own, had a great day! Any parent knows that normally each day at least one kid is having some sort of meltdown...Today though, all was well in the world! We had a great day making our adorable, super easy and fun for the kids ducky craft to kick off our Easter celebration! Next week is going to be full of Easter festivities! I will let you in on a secret....I act like I do all of this holiday stuff "for the kids" but in reality I am a BIG kid at heart and have a blast with any holiday!! I see lots of eggs and dye in my future next week!;) The kids also get to "cook" their own food each Friday! Today they got to create their own pizzas and boy were they happy about it!
Well, I am sure I will blog more later , but here are a few pictures from our day of fun! I hope everyone has a very happy and blessed weekend!!

I guess it's entertaining to watch pizza cook?

I could get used to this....

Blogging that is!
I have to say, it is really nice to blog at the end of a long day. Kind of like a diary except this one I am ok with the whole world seeing. I am actually quite surprised at how many people have read my little dippy blog!;) It's really nothing too exciting, just US being US!:)
So, for me this week has been one of "those" weeks....One of those weeks when you stress about the little things all the while you are missing the big important things around you. I feel like all week I haven't stopped enough to notice Caiden's first little smiles, Jordyn's little giggles (you know, the ones where you KNOW she is up to no good) Reagan's horrible new sticker addiction that has left my house, my car, my clothes heck even my pets covered in stickers, or Peyton's biggest accomplishment this week. She can now write a LOWER CASE e!! Something so big to her because until now, she could only do an upper case E and would get frusturated. OK, so cleary I DID notice them since I am writing about them. HOWEVER, the question is, did I take the time to NOTICE them and let my little angels KNOW that I noticed them? Nope...I instead was "too" busy! Cleaning, organizing, working, paying bills, stressing over finances, worrying about getting to this appointment or that practice on time, stressed about one thing being out of place in my house (anyone that knows me knows that I am a little OCD and a complete clean freak;))complaining about this or that to my husband and saying how things are just so stressful....The whole time, I was missing God's voice inside me  saying "HELLO LINDSAY...Stop and pay attention to all the good things and what you DO have instead of dwelling on what you don't!"
I am blessed! In fact, I am one of the most blessed people I know! I have family that I know will be there any time I need them (mine and Jasper's) I have friends that for once in my life I KNOW truly care about my family and I, I have children that I care for each day that look up to me, I have a husband that loves me and tries each day to give me everything my heart desires. I have 3 beautiful, intelligent, kind hearted little girls that love me. I have the sweetest little man Mr. Caiden that melts me with every sweet new smile! Above all that, I have a God that for some insane reason thinks I am worthy of it all.
As Easter draws closer each day, I am realizing none of it matters. It is not about me! It is about God. It is realizing that He gave His only son up so that I may be here and have a chance to raise my own son and daughters! How lucky am I? How lucky are all of us?! So I challenge each and every one of you out there...Instead of dwelling on the bad, take each day from now until Easter and think (or even write it if that makes it easier to remember) of ONE thing that God has blessed your life with. I know that is my goal! I plan to make it a daily habit. Not just until Easter, but from now on, to start my day thinking of something I am blessed with and thanking God. I think it will set such a postive example for my family instead of instantly getting up each morning going through the motion of another day instead of making it a great day. In reality, every day God gives me should be a GREAT day! I mean just look at the little faces below....How could I not feel blessed!?!
Enjoying the new sand box daddy built! (Yes....that is a sand covered graham cracker in her hand..OOPS!

                                          Yep....My girls love Tonka trucks!

Once apon a time....

So, there was a time when I was a little younger that I imagined having kids. I was certain it was an easy thing. I of course knew that I would do a flawless job of it. My kids would have perfect manners, they would behave well at all times (especially in stores or restaurants) they would ALWAYS be clean and well dressed, only eat the healthiest foods at ALL times, by no means would they ever be aloud to eat in my car and under no circumstance would my perfect children EVER do something as I told them not to....HA!THEN I HAD KIDS! Boy do all the things you "think" you know go out the window! To say that my "perfect" children give me a run for my money (oh wait, I'm not even paid for this?) would be an understatement! I have in my almost 5 years of being a mother and 4 kids later, finally come to the understanding that my children do not have to be perfect to my standards. They were however created perfect by our Heavenly Father! So, I take each day as it comes and I try to enter it with grace and patience and understand that although I may have to get by on 2 or 3 hours of sleep right now, these tiny little miracles are what make my world go round! Most days, I feel so unworthy of being their mom! They have taught me SO much more than I will teach them in their whole lives! I know what it is like to love someone so much you want to cry, what it's like to put myself last and actually be happy to do it and most of all I have learned what it truly means to be LOVED! I know without a doubt in my mind that my children love me and think that I am supermom....Little do they know;)
Peyton is now almost the BIG 5 and amazes us each day! She is so loving and caring and always does everything she can to be a big helper! Reagan is 2 1/2 and FULL of life! She really does think that the world turns around her and everyone on earth must bow down to her.;) Jordyn....Oh "sweet" Jordyn....Our FIRECRACKER! ALWAYS up to no good and doing it with a smile on her face!;) She is the bully around this house but so gosh darn cute, she "sometimes" gets away with it! Then there is little Caiden, our most needy baby by far!! We call him the incredible non-sleeping baby because he really does get by on maybe 6 hours of sleep a day....Most during the day so you can imagine how many hours we get by on.;) He wants attention every second he is awake and lucky for him, there is always someone willing to give it to him! Especially his sissys! Daddy is LOVING having a little buddy around to even the house out a little!
So, there you have it, not a very entertaining post, but just a little bit about my babes....The ones that make it all worth it! Here's a few recent pictures from our chaos.....

These 3 are the best of friends! I pray they keep that bond forever!

I think it's about time....

For some time now, I have wanted to start a blog. Something simple for family and friends to see and have an idea of what goes on in our crazy, beautiful life! So here it is! FINALLY! Now, we will see if I stick with it! To start with, I am a wife, mommy to 4 beautiful children (3 girls and 1 sweet new baby boy) and of course I have many other titles too...Some of the top are childcare provider (my actual job) I am also a cook, a maid, a taxi driver, a horse for riding, a doctor for boo-boo's and sick little ones, a dancer (not a good one I might add) and an actress that can make any princess come to life while reading stories each day! Just a few of my favorites! My husband is all those things and more also! (However, he doesn't make as good of a princess) We live a simple yet BUSY life! Full of children, ballet, tball, soccer, family, friends and above all ,God! Without Him, we would not have any of it! All the glory to God for all of our many blessings!
So, there is a tiny insight on our life, and I hope you will enjoy reading up on our craziness from time to time! Especially other moms that may feel overwhelmed at times! As a young mom, I know it can all get to be a little too much sometimes, and it helps to see what other moms go through on a day to day basis! The good, the bad and the DIRTY of being a mom! So here's to the start of a fun blog! ENJOY!
