Not sure how it happened...The day came! My little tiny baby Peyton is a BIG KINDERGARTNER!! To say I wasn't ready or prepared for this is an understatement.:( It was hard! Luckily daddy's new boss is a young mom herself and also his bosses dad (the owner of the company) knew that a daddy should be there on the FIRST day of Kindergarten. So we BOTH got to take her! It made me so sad that she didn't care if I left. She had a look on her face that said she was a tad nervous but she was beyond excited. We walked her in, found her cubby and took her to a center. We said goodbye, gave her hugs and walked out the door. I stood outside staring through the window for just a minute in awe and disbelief that I have a kindergartner, that real life has just begun for her, that she has spread her wings a little more. It's great and it's hard! She has loved school this first week! I put notes in her lunch and let her take a "WHOLE unpeeled banana" to school for snack...I guess this is a big deal because this made her say that I am the BEST mommy in the whole world!:) It's the little things I guess!! She also loves her teacher and is very excited that she gets to order chocolate milk everyday...She has taken FULL advantage of this because it's a RARE treat at home!;) Here are some pictures of her first day!!
LOVE this picture of Peyton and Jasper and I KNOW it's one she will treasure forever!<3
Peyton and two of her BFF's-Madeline and Katherine...These three are trouble together and will surly keep poor Ms. Wisner on her toes! They are a giant ball of energy!
She jumped right in to centers and didn't care that we were leaving!
Her Tuesday outfit! I had planned to take a picture each day for the first few weeks of all of her new "back to school" clothes but...I already slacked!;) At least I got Monday and Tuesday!:) I had a few people ask me where her first day outfit was from. Shirt, skinny pants and shoes all Gap, hair bow made by the fantastic, amazing Jacklyn of Trewluv!
Peyton....You make my heart smile when I see the love, joy and innocence in your eyes and watch you grow and learn! Please remember to keep that kind , loving heart of yours! Be a good friend, a great student and let your love for Christ shine in all that you do! If mommy was to die tomorrow, I could die a happy woman knowing that I was blessed enough to raise you and your sisters and brother! You make me happy every single day and I love you so much!! Love you "My BIGGEST best friend"
Love, Mommy
