Organizing and such...

Since Jasper has been working at his new job for almost a month now, it's been a month of changes in the Warren house. See, even though some think I am a type of 'supermom" the real truth is, my husband is a driving force to that. I was so used to having his help around here that I forgot what it was like to be a one man show. The joy of him just running his General Construction business was that he could drop everything when I had appointments, needed to run errands or had kids to pickup/drop off. However I am so grateful for his full-time position with an awesome company! Now we see him, well maybe a few hours a day during the week and he also works through the weekend keeping his business going. It's a lot, but God is good and I am so thankful for how He has faithfully provided for Jasper, the kids and myself! We are blessed! Anyways, since he leaves at 4:30am, I normally can't sleep past then and he gets home around 5 or so. We both are tired at the end of our busy days so it has caused me to need to be even more organized to keep this train on track! I have slacked on "sanity savers" and "organizing tips", so I thought I would post a few today!

First off, this one comes from my new favorite website, turned inspiration, turned obsession...Seriously, my husband may leave me if I don't "break-up" with Pintrest I found this idea a few weeks back and was so excited to implement it! Everyone knows I love organization and HATE clutter! I like this because it keeps my fridge clear of lists and menu plans....
Clearly a clever place to put the honey do list because well, men like food;)) Now he has no excuse!

Sorry my writing is sloppy but hey, it's about the idea, not the writing! I have an OBSESSION with chalkboard paint! Seriously! I told Jasper I would paint all of my walls with chalkboard paint if I could! The kids LOVE it too!

Here's another idea that I am loving! It used to drive me crazy when I would bring P home from school and have a million papers to do something with, and they would end up on my desk because I couldn't throw them away, or I needed to fill them out or so on...So here's what I found on a blog a while back that saved me some sanity and kept me from a cluttered desk!

This little file bin will have Preschool through 12th grade! One bin for each kid! Peyton has one and Reagan has one ready to go for when she starts Preschool in a few weeks! All important documents, contracts, papers and special "creations and art" will be in here! I LOVE LOVE this because now even if Jasper does pickup, he knows where to put things, and I know where to look!

There you have it, a few tips keeping me in line lately! I have a lot of blogging to do and have been quite the bad blogger lately! Between the daycare, school, dance classes, soccer practice, being team mom and doing it all while being a one man show, I am busy busy and the blog has been shoved to the side a little. :) Hope everyone has had a great week, and happy Friday!

  2. I do the file system also for the papers! Since Andrew is in 1st now and Allie is in Kinder, I went back through their papers from the year before and got rid of some! Sometimes we keep more than we really need because we JUST CAN'T THROW THEM AWAY! it's hard! I also have a tubbie for each of them because some things are bigger than my filing system, so I can keep things in there for them also! It has taken me awhile to figure out the best system to save this stuff, but this has worked for me for the past year!
